Couples & Relationship Therapy

You may still care deeply about one another and find yourselves caught in the same argument. Over time, feeling unheard can create distance. Changes in intimacy, infidelity or another breach of trust may also bring questions about the future of the relationship.

I work with adults in monogamous relationships and those practising ethical non-monogamy (ENM), including open relationships and polyamory. My practice is LGBTQ+ inclusive. The starting point is your experience of the relationship and what matters to the people involved.

Questions about consent, jealousy, boundaries or changing agreements belong here too. We can explore whether agreements still reflect what each person wants, how they are discussed, and whether everyone feels able to express their needs and say no.

Parenting pressures and major life changes can also alter how a relationship works. When neurodivergence is part of the picture, we can consider differences in communication, sensory needs and the time each person needs to process a conversation.

In sessions, we look at how difficulties unfold: what starts an argument, what each person hears and how you respond. That includes paying attention to family histories, cultural expectations, pressures outside the relationship and the impact of each person's behaviour.

Your reasons for coming may differ. We will make room for that as we agree what to work on, whether you want to rebuild the relationship, consider its future or think through a separation.

You can also attend on your own to explore a relationship, with the work focused on your experience and the choices available to you.
